Department of Justice are investigating GE over accounting issues related to its insurance operations, power business and long-term service agreements. In GE, Deloitte has landed one of the most lucrative auditing jobs in corporate America. Deloitte has worked with GE in capacities other than auditor. GE gave up that majority stake last year as part of its strategy to shrink its operations.
