Which is better vue or cineworld

Cineworld has an IMAX, but it's not a very good one. Post 6. It has to be Odeon simply because the nearest cinema to me is exactly that. Post 7. Group: Members Posts: 30, Member No. I would never pay normal cinema tickets after having an Unlimited Card.

Post In saying that, the Odeon I'd go to when I lived at home wasn't of a great standard, I'm not sure if that's a generalised thing across all Odeon's or not, I have seen some nice newer ones though. The Odeon and Cineworld near me have both closed so it's got to be Vue by default.

For the nearest cinema to be about 8 miles away to a city like Chester is highly annoying. The Odeon in the town centre used to be ideal. Group: Moderator Posts: 40, Member No. The Vue for me as the nearest Cineworld is 20 miles away from where I am.

Vue for me - only chain cinema in my big apart from Reel! Sep 27 , PM. Cheap Tuesdays are okay I suppose though. Sep 28 , PM. I check when going to book online which screen its in to where the seats are, as a disabled cinema goer they can be in stupid places.. Saw San Andreas in 3d at cineworld worse possible seats ever for 3d right right hand side of screen so the 3d effect didnt really come across, everyone else in the cinema was sat further up back of screen in the middle, so now i check Chez Wombat.

My nearest is Vue but it's way overpriced, thankfully there's an Odeon which is almost just as near which is pretty much fine for what it is hasn't changed AT ALL in like ten years tho!

I wish I had a Cineworld nearby, but the nearest is a fair train ride away, would love the Unlimited card :'. This then takes you through to something that I think is a necessity for chain cinema brands with multiple locations: a branch specific landing page.

Here there are easily navigable options for films, times and days with options to view trailers and sort the films by accessibility. What if I want to search via film though? The same feature is accessible on the homepage under the carousel.

Booking the tickets takes five whole screens of choosing tickets, choosing seats, choosing extras and entering personal details. I would say this is unnecessary as most of this could be done on a single screen. To give Odeon its credit, it asks for a minimal amount of personal information, just a name and email to send confirmation. I would suggest that cinemas are one of the main offline businesses that would benefit from having either a mobile site or responsive site.

Responsive design and mobile sites allow for easier navigation, quicker load times and a superior user experience when away from a desktop. The reds blended with the yellows are meant to indicate a certain explosiveness of entertainment, but come off a bit tacky. The Vue homepage also allows you to choose the cinema times from up to three different locations on your personalised homepage. Search for film, location, find times.

Personally I hate unallocated seating. It means you have to get to the screening much earlier than you normally would in order to beat the rush for the best seats.

It also asks for your full address details too, so this is quite time consuming. Perhaps these could be better indicated at the top of the page. Seats are pre-selected for you when booking via mobile.

Although that sounds like a massive hassle and probably something that nobody in their right mind would do. Prices vary depending on location. Check live prices here. Check the most recent prices here. The standard Vue recliner is not an upgrade or a special VIP package. Sadly the downsides of having luxury recliners come as bog-standard in every theatre are the hike in confectionary prices. Vue, just like Odeon and Cineworld does allow you to bring food and drink into the theatre as long as the drinks are not alcoholic or hot health and safety and the food is not hot also.

This way you can avoid the more expensive confectionary prices that Vue has and enjoy your affordable recliner seat without putting a major dent in your wallet.

The Odeon and Cineworld sites can be tricky to navigate and an absolute pain when it comes to ordering tickets. You may disagree with this one depending on your own personal experience but for me, Vue is the easy winner here.
